Bacalar is located 2.5 hours south of Tulum, about an hour north of Belize, and 30 minutes by car from Chetumal, the capital of Quintana Roo. With the new Mayan Train stopping in Bacalar and the opening of Tulum International Airport, travel times for national and international visitors have been significantly reduced from 4-6 hours to around 2 hours by train and between 2-3 hours by car.
The XHO community site is situated on the Xul-Ha lagoon, approximately 10-15 minutes south of Bacalar and just 20 minutes from Chetumal.

Residents do not have access to Rodavento’s private guests-only beach club. However, residents do have access to two private, residents-only beaches exclusively for them, Serenity Beach and a private Lagoon Beach.
